Royal Concrete Concepts offers the option of using building products based on pre-engineered concrete wall panel technology. Created with the goal of providing hurricane resistant buildings to Floridians, these pre-engineered wall panels and integrated buildings are designed to withstand Category 5 hurricanes - thereby meeting or exceeding High Velocity Wind Zone requirements of the Florida Building Code.
With compressive strength exceeding 4,000 PSI at 28 days after casting, these concrete wall panels are reinforced with Grade 60 rebar and 6”X6” welded wire mesh to further augment its structural strength. To provide superior insulation, expanded polystyrene is integrated into the pre-engineered concrete panels to achieve a typical 13 R-rating. The typical roof assembly which is based on our concrete panel technology achieves a superior R-rating of 22. In addition to the aforementioned strength and insulating capacities, the materials used in the concrete pre-engineered panels are both mold-resistant and fire-resistant with a 2-hour fire rating achieved between adjacent concrete modular units.
Our concrete integrated buildings are produced in a quality-controlled environment at our 180-acre manufacturing facility in Okeechobee, Florida. This centralized production facility creates efficiencies in sustainable construction methods, cost management, quality control, resource management and scheduling. By greatly reducing the amount of on-site construction, we limit a project’s exposure to the uncertainties of traditional site construction such as work disruptions due to inclement weather and scheduling conflicts between trade contractors. An independent life-cycle analysis has concluded that RCC integrated buildings have an estimated life span of over 100 years with proper maintenance while requiring lower life-cycle costs when compared to other modular and tilt-wall buildings. Our centralized production facility continues to provide superior quality buildings with hurricane-resistance and increased energy-efficiency which helps our environment and provides industry-leading sustainability benefits.
